PH Embassy in Copenhagen Conducts First Consular Outreach in Randers, Denmark

COPENHAGEN 28 June 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen composed of Vice Consul Al-Bari B. Macalawan, Mr. Jose Mari M. Fedelicio, Ms. Caroline B. Rubas, Mr. Rodelio O. Inventor, Ms. Maribel G. Baladjay-Borg, and Ms. Evelina Marie B. Saldariega successfully conducted a consular outreach program in Randers, Denmark from 25 to 26 June 2022.
Randers is the sixth largest city in Denmark located in the northeast of the Jutland peninsula. It became a thriving market town in medieval times and a centre for the developing agricultural industry during industrialization. The city is Denmark’s only natural river harbor, situated on the banks of the Guden River.
There are a total of 24 passport applications/biometric data capture; 14 notarials; one au pair contract; one employment contract, two applications for reacquisition/ retention of Philippine citizenship; four civil registry applications (ROB); and ten consultations processed by the team, a total of 56 services rendered during the outreach program. The consular outreach was held at Randers Alevi Kultur Center. The consular team also had an opportunity for a “meet and greet” with members of the Filipino community across the Danish central region who are mostly engaged in service sectors including cleaning, sushi chef, caregiving, and au pair.
The members of the Filipino community in Randers led by Ms. Marieluz Andersen assisted the consular team in the provision of venue and other logistics.
This is the first ever consular outreach in Randers, Denmark. END
