PH Embassy in Stockholm, Nordic Chamber of Commerce PH Discuss Green Technology Cooperation

STOCKHOLM 11 June 2022 – Philippine Ambassador to Sweden Maria Lumen B. Isleta had a virtual meeting with Mr. Jesper Svenningsen, Executive Director of Nordic Chamber of Commerce (NordCham) Philippines and Ms. Maan Yu, Events Coordinator of NordCham Philippines on 10 June 2022, via Zoom. Third Secretary and Vice Consul Pat Lester F. Solosa was also present during the meeting. 

Discussions revolved about the areas that Nordic and Philippine companies may cooperate on, including waste management, energy, and other sustainability projects. The Embassy stated that it is interested in “bringing to the Philippines” the green technology available in the Nordic countries, particularly those in Finland. 

Discussions also included the possibility of carrying out business delegation visits that would provide participants a greater appreciation of requirements and/or solutions available for future cooperation as well as partnerships in promoting events that the other is undertaking.

Both sides expressed optimism that with strong economic managers appointed by the incoming administration, the Philippines can build on the economic accomplishments of the Duterte administration. END
