PH Consulate General in Geneva Highlights Community Project for Filipinos

GENEVA, 25 June 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General In Geneva hosted 80 Filipinos who are participating in the 2022 Summer French Language Lessons organized by Ugnayang Bayan for the benefit of Filipinos undergoing social and cultural integration in Switzerland.

Classes are organized into two levels, Beginners and A1/A2 Level, and will run from 25 June to 13 August 2022, every Saturday.  

The project was established in 2017 by Ugnayang Bayan and has benefitted over 700 Filipinos in need of A1 or A2 language proficiency for employment or Swiss residency purposes. 

The free classes by Filipino volunteers are offered considering that employment opportunities/ Swiss employers require language proficiency for foreign workers, as well as help Filipinos, gain a deeper understanding of their rights as foreign workers/ residents of Switzerland. END
