PH Consul General Mayo Presents Advantages of PH Digital Market and Innovation System at RCEP Forum in Chongqing, China

CHONGQING 26 August 2022 — Upon the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)-Chongqing, Philippine Consul General to Chongqing Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo delivered a keynote address at the RCEP Digital Trade Cooperation and Development Forum on 22 August 2022 on the topic, “Using RCEP Dividends to Promote High-Quality Development of International Digital Trade”.

Consul General Mayo scanned the regional and international trends in digital trade and services, discussed the expected gains from e-commerce among RCEP participating countries, and presented the advantages of the Philippines’ digital market and innovation ecosystem for foreign investments.

The Forum was held in conjunction with the 2022 Smart China Expo, an annual event that showcases global smart technologies. Other speakers included representatives from China’s Ministry of Commerce, Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Jingdong Technology Group as well an international digital economy expert.  END
