PH Embassy Celebrates MANA MO 2022, Embassy Personnel Recognized for Joining MANA MO 2022 Activities

OTTAWA, 14 September 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa commemorated the annual Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO) in September by undertaking a Coastal Clean-Up of Britannia Beach in West Ottawa, a Swimming Survival Initiative, and the awarding of plaques of participation to its personnel who participated in these events. 

The various activities were intended to promote awareness and protection of the marine environment and the management of marine resources. 

Moreover, personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa received plaques of participation for their involvement in the Coastal Clean-Up and Swimming Survival Initiative projects organized to commemorate the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO). The plaques were handed by Philippine Embassy in Ottawa Chargé d’AffairesFrancisco Noel R. Fernandez III to First Secretary and Consul Jeffrey Salik, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Leo Marco Vidal, Mr. Angelito Castillo, Mr. Felix De Vera III, Ms. Aisha Turingan, Mr. Rodel Bendicio, Ms. Josephine Gonato, and Mr. Earl Tamayo.

MANA MO is an annual celebration in September organized by the Philippine Government to create awareness of the rich maritime history of the Philippines and the important role played by the marine environment in its national development. END
