PH Consulate General in Vancouver Donates Books on PH Tourism, Culture and Dive Destinations

VANCOUVER, 16 September 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver donated copies of the books, “Panaderia: Philippine Bread, Biscuit and Bakery Traditions” by Amy A. Uy and Jenny B. Orillos, “Rekindling Travel” 3rd Edition, “Maria Y Orosa: A Role Model for the Youth” and “Dive Philippines” by Tim Rock to the Vancouver Public Library on 08 September 2022.
Philippine Consul General to Vancouver Maria Andrelita Austria handed over the collection of books to Ms. Inness Campbell, Manager of Technical Services and Ms. Kay Cahill, Director of Information Technology of the Vancouver Public Library (VPL).
Consul General Austria conveyed that the book donation activity is part of the Consulate’s efforts to promote Philippine tourism, culture, history, and heritage as well as increase awareness of the country in Canada. For VPL’s part, Ms. Campbell extended her appreciation to the Consulate and mentioned that books on baking such as “Panaderia” will definitely be a hit among readers. END
