PH Embassy in Manama, Filipino Creatives Bahrain Launch Joint Art Exhibition in Bahrain

MANAMA 23 September 2022 – The Filipino Creatives Bahrain in partnership with the Philippine Embassy in Manama organized an art exhibition entitled, “Beyond Measure – Reflections of Asia” officially opened at the Harbour Gate, Bahrain Financial Harbour in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, on 18 September 2022, and will run until 29 September 2022.

Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i., Anne Jalando-on Louis and Guest of Honor, H.E. Shaikh Rashid Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the National Council for Arts and Honorary President of the Bahrain Arts Society, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The exhibit, participated in by 20 Filipino artisits and other artists from Bahrain, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, and Thailand, aims to gain support for Filipino and other Asian artists residing in Bahrain. The artworks represent the artists respective country through paintings and sculptures.

Among the guests at the opening ceremony were Indonesian Ambassador Ardi Hermawan, Nepali Ambassador Tirtha Raj Wayle, Thai Ambassador Piyapak Sricharoen, Chargé d’ Affaires Farida Hairani Hisham of Brunei, and Second Secretary Ihjas Aslam of the Indian Embassy.

H.E. Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the other guests congratulated the Embassy and the Filipino Creatives Bahrain on organizing the art exhibition, noting the outstanding quality of the artworks that were on display by the very talented artists. END
