PH Embassy, DEIK Türkiye-Philippines Business Council Explore Opportunities for Stronger Economic Linkages

ISTANBUL 23 September 2022 — Philippine Ambassador to Türkiye Maria Elena P. Algabre, met with Mr. Harun Altunkaya, Chairperson of the Foreign Economic Relations Board - Türkiye-Philippines Business Council (DEIK-TPBC), on 16 September 2022, to discuss prospective opportunities for closer partnership and collaboration between the DEIK-TPBC and the Philippines.

Ambassador Algabre and Mr. Altunkaya, together with DEIK-TPBC members involved in the food, media, education, textiles, construction, and automotive industries, expressed interest to explore potential projects and initiatives aimed at forging stronger economic linkages between the Philippines and Türkiye. 

Established in 1985, DEIK plays an instrumental role in Türkiye’s economic development as well as in the country’s commercial, industrial, and financial relations with other countries and international business communities, including through its network of business councils. END
