MANAMA 05 October 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, successfully repatriated 15 distressed Filipino nationals, composed of undocumented OFWs, a detainee, and two minors, on 29 September 2022 via Gulf Air.

The Philippine Embassy, through the Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) Funds of the Department of Foreign Affairs, shouldered the airfare and facilitated the issuance of the Filipinos’ exit permits by the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Embassy also arranged for airport assistance upon their arrival in Manila, in coordination with the Embassy’s Office of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Other Filipinos requiring repatriation assistance are advised to check the Embassy’s official website or Facebook page for details on the Embassy’s repatriation program, or to contact the Embassy as soon as possible. END
