9 June 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen joined in the celebration of International Children’s Day held at the Xiamen Culture and Arts Center on  May 24 under the auspices of the Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office (FAO).

Consulate General personnel and their families, along with other participants from various sectors of Xiamen were provided a tour of the Culture and Arts Center.  The participants were treated to science shows and demonstrations.

Access to the Center’s in-house playground was provided which afforded the children opportunities for fun and interaction activities, including clay-pot making.

The event culminated with the distribution of Xiamen FAO’s gift items to the children consisting of school supplies and toys. END
