MANAMA 11 October 2022 — Rose Jean Ramos, a 16-year-old Zamboangueña, won the bronze medal in the Clean and Jerk event as members of the Philippine Embassy, led by Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i. Anne Jalando-on Louis, supported and cheered on the Filipino athletes participating in the 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championship, being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, from 07 to 16 October 2022.
The Philippine delegation to sporting event includes Mr. Monico Puentevella, President of the Samahang Weightlifting sa Pilipinas, Coach Roberto Francisco Colonia, and athletes, Ms. Rose Jean Ramos and Mr. Fernando Agad, Jr.
Weightlifter Rose Jean Ramos bagged the bronze medal in the Women’s 45-kg Category of the Clean and Jerk event on 08 October 2022. END
