PH Embassy Explores Media Cooperation Opportunities Between Philippines and Riyadh

RIYADH 20 October 2022 – The Philippine Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires Rommel Romato met with General Commission for Audiovisual Media’s (GCAM) CEO Esra Assery on 16 October 2022.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the new licensing system for issuing Influencer Permits to ensure legal oversight and current regulations for the responsible use of social media are in place in the Kingdom.

As part of GCAM's role in ensuring the distribution of proper content in the Kingdom while promoting religious and social values, the Philippine Embassy conveyed its support in developing media cooperation opportunities between the two countries and strengthening future collaborations. END
