Filipino Community in Vanuatu Showcases PH Food International Festival

CANBERRA, 07 November 2022 – The Filipino community in Port Vila, Vanuatu participated in the Annual International Food Festival organized by the International Women’s Group (IWG) held at the Espace Alliance Française in Port Vila on 29 October 2022.

Filipino food such as lechon, pancit (stir fried noodles), siopao (pork bun), and puto (rice cakes) were showcased alongside dishes from twenty other countries. 

The Philippine participation, led by Philippine Consul General Florentino “Bong” Serrano, was able to raise VT127,000 (USD 1,270) which was donated to the IWG’s charity fund. There are currently 219 overseas Filipinos in Vanuatu. END
