PH Embassy Renews Linkages with University of Pretoria

PRETORIA, 15 November 2022 — In line with ongoing efforts to bolster the academic cooperation between the Philippines and South Africa, Philippine Ambassador to South Africa Noralyn Jubaira Baja called on Professor Tawana Kupe, the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria.
During the productive meeting, both sides agreed to cooperate on activities and initiatives to be carried out under the auspices of the university’s Centre for Asian Studies in Africa, which will be formally inaugurated on 30 November 2022. The prospect of renewing the agreement between University of Pretoria and the University of the Philippines was also discussed.
University of Pretoria is one of the premier universities in South Africa. Its areas of strengths include engineering, medicine, natural sciences, and veterinary science. END
