OTTAWA, 16 November 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa joined Canada in commemorating Remembrance Day on 11 November 2022 in a solemn ceremony at the National War Memorial in Ottawa. The Philippine Embassy was represented by Third Secretary Jan Michael Gomez.

Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in Canada, and other Commonwealth Countries, to honor armed forces members who died in the line of duty. It is commemorated on November 11 to recall the end of hostilities during the First World War “at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month” of 1918.
