ASEAN Family Day Promotes ASEAN Community in Canberra

CANBERRA, 23 November 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Canberra joined the ASEAN Family Day on 19 November 2022 at Lennox Gardens in Canberra. The event brought together personnel and families of ASEAN Missions in Canberra and promoted ASEAN community in the Australian capital city.

The event, an annual gathering of the ASEAN Canberra Committee, had to be paused in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic restrictions. The resumption of Family Day this year provides a preview of the ASEAN Village at the National Multicultural Festival to be held in February 2023. In the ASEAN Family Day, ASEAN Missions featured travel destinations, cultural traditions and cuisine. 

The ASEAN Heads of Mission joined by officials from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade led the celebration of ASEAN Family Day. END
