PH Embassy Joins Commemoration of 458th Anniversary of Legazpi- Urdaneta Expedition in Mexico

MEXICO, 28 November 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Mexico, together with Ms. Martha Mejia de Castaneda, Vice Consul ad honorem of Guadalajara, attended the commemorative activity in the port district of Barra de Navidad, Municipality of Cihuatlan, State of Jalisco, Mexico, to mark the 458th anniversary of the Maritime Expedition of Spanish Conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and circumnavigator and Augustinian friar Andres de Urdaneta to the Philippine archipelago which in turn started the modern globalization.
