PH Ambassador Baja Presents Credentials to Malian President Goita, Commits to Strengthening PH-Mali Relations

RABAT, 28 November 2022 — Philippine Ambassador to Morocco Leslie J. Baja presented his credentials to President Assimi Goita as non-resident Philippine Ambassador to Mali on 24 November 2022.

Ambassador Baja, who is based in Rabat, Morocco, assured the Malian President of the Philippines' intentions to strengthen bilateral ties with Mali. He told President Goita of the Embassy's plan to open an Honorary Consulate in Bamako in the future. President Goita, in tum, expressed appreciation for the Ambassador's efforts and pledged that all support will be given to upgrade bilateral relations to a new level.

Mali is one of the four jurisdictions of the Philippine Embassy in Rabat which also includes Guinea, Mauritania, and Senegal. END
