Pinoy Rock and Reggae Artists Celebrate 75 Years of PH-FR Relations in Paris
PARIS, 29 November 2022 — Seasoned performers Stiff Lu of Rizal Underground and Bunny Liwanag of Hemp Republic and Tropical Depression enthralled audiences in concerts in Paris on 30 October 2022 at Les Disquaires and on 01 November 2022 at LeMolotov in Marseille in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Philippines-France diplomatic relations.
Prior to the event, Philippine Ambassador to France Junever M. Mahilum-West, in a video message, invited audiences to discover an “alternative side of Philippine music,” and commended the performers who were “highly talented and whose performances will surely make us proud.”
In both venues, Filipinos and non-Filipinos sang and danced to original Filipino music such as Sabado Nights, Bilanggo, Bilog na Naman ang Buwan, Kapayapaan and many more.
The performers mentioned the 75 years of PH-FR relations and invited non-Filipinos to learn more about the Philippines.
Filipino food and drinks were also served within the premises, completing the “fiesta-vibe” in both events. END
