12 June 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales paid a courtesy call on Director-General Vanessa Chan, International Organizations Directorate, Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Monday, June 9. Director-General Chan is the second MFA official that Ambassador Morales called on after he presented his credentials to President Tony Tan Keng Yam last May 29. On June 5, Ambassador Morales called on Director-General Wong Chow Ming, International Economics Directorate.

During his call on Director-General Chan, both officials exchanged views on Philippine-Singapore cooperation at the multilateral level. They also discussed Singapore’s assistance to the Philippines in the wake of typhoon Haiyan as well as the latter’s hosting of the ASEM Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. They also exchanged views on major developments in East Asia and other parts of the world. END
