Philippine Honorary Consul General Meets with Vanuatu Prime Minister

PORT VILA 12 December 2022 — Philippine Honorary Consul General in Vanuatu Mr. Florentino “Bong” Serrano met with new Vanuatu Prime Minister Alatoi Ishmael Kalsakau during the latter’s official visit to the Ifira Island in Vanuatu on 28 November 2022.

Mr. Serrano expressed his congratulations and support to the new Head of Government, particularly on his economic recovery, improved public service and climate change programs.

Prime Minister Kalsakau is the 13th Prime Minister of the Republic of Vanuatu. He was elected unopposed from five political parties during the snap elections held in early November this year.

Prime Minister Kalsakau is a member of the Ifira Tribe, where Mr. Serrano is an adopted member. END
