GENEVA, 20 December 2022 – The Philippines welcomed the continuing UN focus on addressing Climate Change on 12 December 2022. Philippine Ambassador and Permanent Representative Evan P. Garcia stressed the vital importance of fulfilling the Paris Agreement and pressing on with the loss and damage initiative. 

Ambassador and Permanent Representative Garcia also emphasized the importance of closer coordination of humanitarian and development programs in disaster response to ensure more resilient long-term recovery moving forward. END
