PH Ambassador to Korea Attends Seminar on “Strategy for a Free, Peaceful, and Prosperous Indo-Pacific Region”

SEOUL, 10 January 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Korea Theresa Dizon–De Vega attended the Seminar on “Strategy for a Free, Peaceful, and Prosperous Indo-Pacific Region,” hosted by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 28 December 2022. 

ROK Foreign Minister Park Jin in his keynote remarks presented a strategy that calls for promoting freedom, peace, and prosperity through the establishment of a rules-based order and cooperation on human rights. The strategy likewise highlights ROK’s intended foreign policy outlook towards the Indo-Pacific region, which includes a focus on ASEAN through the Korea-ASEAN Solidarity Initiative (KASI) regional policy. 

The Philippines welcomes ROK’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and looks forward to closely working together for a free, peaceful, and prosperous Indo-Pacific. END
