PH Products Featured at Lao Food Festival 2023

LAO, 28 January 2023 - The Philippine Embassy in Vientiane partnered with Palengke Thailand and Century Pacific Food, Inc. to set up the Philippine Booth at the Lao Food Festival on 28 January 2023 at the Chao Anouvong Park in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

Iconic Philippine products like Purefoods corned beef, Century Tuna and 555 Sardines, Mang Tomas all-purpose sauce, Silver Swan soy sauce and Datu Puti vinegar, among others, were featured at the booth. 

Aside from selling Philippine products, there was also a cooking demonstration of various recipes of chicken and pork adobo done by Chef Nick Umadhay, Co-Owner and Social Media Manager of Palengke Thailand.

Eager members of the Filipino community in Laos flocked to the booth even before opening time to stock up on their favorite Filipino items. 

This was the 17th edition of the Lao Food Festival, an annual event organized by the Lao Businesswomen’s Association which aims to help businesswomen in Laos market their products to a wider audience, as well as to promote traditional Lao cuisine. END
