PH Ambassador Angeles Presents Credentials to Brazilian President

BRASILIA 08 February 2023 – Philippine Ambassador Joseph Gerard B. Angeles presented his letters of credence to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva at the Planalto Palacio on 03 February 2023.

Together with President Lula were Foreign Minister Mauro Viera, Special Presidential Foreign Policy Adviser Celso Amorim and Foreign Ministry Asia and Pacific Secretary Eduardo Saboia, while accompanying the Ambassador were Madam Cecilia Angeles, First Secretary Joselito Chad Jacinto and Protocol Officer Arnel Bautista.

President Lula extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Angeles and expressed optimism for the work that lies ahead for the relations between the Philippines and Brazil. Ambassador Angeles took the opportunity to mention the various sectors of engagement between the Philippines and Brazil in defense, agriculture, trade and international organizations, among others.
