PH Ambassador to UAE Receives PNP Chief Azurin and Delegation to Interpol, Cites Strengthening PH-UAE Relations and Service to Overseas Filipinos

On 06 January 2023, Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso A. Ver (3rd from left) received Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Rodolfo S. Azurin, Jr. (2nd from left) and the 15-member PNP delegation to the 24th INTERPOL Asian Regional Conference (ARC) being hosted by the UAE from 7-10 February 2023. During Amb. Ver's exchange with CPNP Gen. Azurin and the delegation, he expressed pleasure at the strong presence of the PNPin the UAE's hosting of this INTERPOL conference, which is in line with the expansion of areas of collaboration between the Philippines and the UAE. Amb. Ver discussed with CPNP Gen Azurin the positive developments in the UAE and the GCC countries, which paves the way for increased cooperation, including law enforcement. They also tackled ways in which the PNP can extend its reach and assistance to Overseas Filipinos, particularly in the UAE, through the Embassy's facilitation. (Abu Dhabi PE photo)
