DUBAI 27 February 2023 - Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Alfonso A. Ver (center), gave his assurance today at a press conference in Dubai on 23 February 2023, that the Philippine Government supports all efforts to stamp out counterfeiters of widely known Philippine brands, and that with the support of host government authorities, these corrupt and unfair trade practices shall be stopped. The conference was attended and supported by the Philippine Embassy, Dubai Police and the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), organized by leading Philippines-based pharmaceutical company International Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (IPI), (makers of known brands Omega Pain Killer, Dr. Wong's Sulfur Soap, Casino Rubbing Alcohol and Efficascent Oil) and Al Buldan Trading, their distributor in the UAE. The event aimed at warning the public against the use of PH products being counterfeited as these may pose a danger given their provenance is unknown, and to urge the public to support efforts of authorities to stamp these out of the market, and to go after the perpetrators.
