16 June 2014 - The Philippine Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar, in collaboration with the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS) of the Department of Agriculture, put up an exhibit of Philippine agricultural products during the diplomatic reception for the commemoration of the 116th Anniversary of Philippine Independence on June 11 in Yangon.
The exhibit showcased fruit juices and wines, herbal products, and snacks. The products were received well by the members of the diplomatic and business communities in Yangon who attended the reception.
In a run-up to the event, DA representatives Jennifer T. Torres and Jonathan B. Baldelomar, together with the Embassy’s Third Secretary Alan Roi Q. Gabriola and Economic Attaché Daniel T. Te, called on Myanmar Distribution Group (MDG), a major distribution company in Myanmar, and City Mart Holding Company Ltd., a leading supermarket chain, to present the Philippine products.
Philippine companies Destileria Limtuaco & Co., Inc., C.O.P. Pili Sweets and Pastries, Pangasinan Tropical Fruits Inc., Nagano’s Farm, Chocovron Global Corporation, Dielle’s Apiary and Meadery, Orich International Trader’s, Inc., United Pharma, and Navaro’s Co. participated in the Philippine agriculture product exhibit.
