Traditional Fabrics and Designs by PH Artist Mac Taug Featured at the Indonesia Fashion Week, Jakarta Convention Center

JAKARTA, 01 March 2023 – Filipino Fashion Designer Mr. Mac Taug was featured at the Indonesia Fashion Week for his collection of traditional Mindanao fabrics and designs, held at the  Jakarta Convention Center on 24 February 2023. A total of 12 pieces of ready to wear clothing items for both females and males, made from handwoven fabric or Inaul of Maguindanao, and Langkit of the Maranao people, were showcased at the event. 

The show was headlined by Indonesian Minister for Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Teten Masduki, along with thousands of fashion industry stakeholders who watched via Indonesia Fashion Week 2023 YouTube and Instagram channels.

Chargé d’Affaires Glenn Joseph D. Teh, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Maricar S. Yambao, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Ihna Alyssa O. Santos, and Cultural Officer and Attaché Buenaflor K. Cruz attended the event and gave support to the participation of Mr. Taug at the event. END
