Turnover of 3 Filipino Fishermen by Sangihe Authorities to Bitung Immigration for Processing and Repatriation to PH

MANADO, 08 March 2023 – A team from the Philippine Consulate General in Manado led by Ms. Johairah A. Lomondot witnessed the turnover of custody of three Filipino fishermen from the Sangihe Islands District Prosecutor’s Office to the Immigration Office in Bitung City on 03 March 2023.
The Philippine Consulate General worked with the Sangihe Islands District Prosecutor’s Office for the speedy disposition of the cases of the fishermen so that they may be cleared to return to the Philippines.
The Philippine Consulate General expresses its appreciation to the Sangihe Islands District Prosecutor’s Office and the Bitung Immigration Office for their kind treatment of Filipinos and cooperation with the Consulate.
The Philippine Consulate is making arrangements for the repatriation of the fishermen to their hometown in Sultan Kudarat, Philippines at the soonest possible time. END
