BEIJING 16 March 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in China led by Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz, participated in the “Bisita, Be My Guest” (BBMG) campaign on 11 March 2023 at the Hilton Hotel in Beijing. The event was hosted and organized by the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) in Beijing, headed by Tourism Attaché Erwin F. Balane.

Ambassador FlorCruz delivered the welcome remarks during the BBMG wherein he expressed that the Philippines looks forward to resuming its tourism offerings that await every Filipino, Chinese and other foreign friends who wish to travel to the Philippines in 2023. He encouraged the Filipino community to do their part in the BBMG Campaign by helping showcase the spectacle and splendors of the Philippines to their foreign friends in China.

The event was the first large gathering involving the Filipino Community under Beijing PE’s jurisdiction following the easing of COVID-19 pandemic measures. It was likewise the first time that Ambassador FlorCruz, who arrived in Beijing in mid-February 2023, was introduced to the Filipino Community. Attendees enjoyed the camaraderie and community spirit, with the event helping boost the morale of the Filipino community and reinforcing their pride of and love for the country.

The BBMG is an incentivized travel campaign of the DOT, in cooperation with the Department of Migrant Workers, wherein Filipinos, especially Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and Overseas Filipinos, invite foreigners to visit the country. Participation in the campaign affords them the opportunity to win raffle tickets and special prizes. END
