PH Consul General in Calgary Explores Cooperation with Alberta University of the Arts

CALGARY, 20 March 2023 – Upon the invitation of President and CEO Dr. Daniel Doz of the Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts), Philippine Consul General to Calgary Zaldy Patron visited AUArts on 15 March 2023.
Aside from Dr. Doz, Consul General Patron also met with AUArts’ Dr. Janis Goldie, Dean of Academic Programs, and Dr. Pablo Ortiz, Dean of Students.
They discussed potential partnerships and cooperation between Philippine government agencies and universities, and AUArts in the field of arts.
Founded in 1926, AUArts is the only university dedicated to art, craft and design in Alberta and the Prairie Region. It is one of only four arts universities in Canada.
AUArts offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 11 programs, namely, ceramics, drawing, fibre, glass, jewellery and metals, media arts, painting, photography, print media, sculpture, and visual communication design.
It also has a non-degree program in Critical and Creative Studies.
