PH Ambassador Seeks Expansion Opportunities for PH Enterprises in Tour of Ras Bufontas Free Zone in Doha

DOHA 03 April 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Qatar Lillibeth V. Pono visited the Business Innovation Park at the Ras Bufontas Free Zone in Doha on 29 March 2023 as part of the Philippine Embassy’s thrust of providing Philippine companies expansion opportunities in Qatar and the broader Middle East and North Africa region.

Ambassador Pono was given a tour of the Free Zone’s facilities, including a presentation on the mandate of and business facilitation services provided by the Qatar Free Zones Authority.

Among the incentives for investors in Qatar’s Free Zones are 20-year tax holiday, low utility cost, cold chain capabilities, and high seaport capacity.

Ambassador Pono was joined by Embassy officials and Filipino entrepreneurs from both the Philippines and Qatar. END
