Filipino Halal Food Showcased at ASEAN Food Festival

13 April 2023 – The Philippines’ pansit sotanghon guisado, biko sa latik, and lumpia were among the crowd favorites during the ASEAN Halal Food (AHF) Festival held at Borobodur Hotel, Jakarta on 13 April 2023, The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta and the Philippine Mission to ASEAN collaborated on said event.

The Embassy, in celebration of the Filipino Food Month 2023, served these popular Filipino dishes during the event, which were attended by ASEAN Youth Dialogue (AYD) delegates from the ASEAN Member States (AMS). Four (4) Filipino youth delegates, namely – Jericho L. Emphasis, Tiffany Templonuevo, Yvie Nicolas, and Jul Rashed C. Kasid also attended the event and were welcomed by H.E. Ambassador-designate Gina A. Jamoralin.

The event was organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Jakarta Capital City Government and the National Charity Board, as one of the flagship events of Indonesia’s ASEAN Chairmanship for 2023. END
