PH Investment Roadshow in Madrid to Boost Opportunities for Filipino and Spanish Businesses

MADRID, 24 April 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Spain Philippe J. Lhuillier gave the keynote remarks on behalf of the Philippine Embassy in Spain at the 2023 Investment Roadshow co-organized by the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) and the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa (IESE) Madrid on 18 April 2023. Additionally, Consul Monika Limpo gave a presentation on the current status of Philippine-Spanish trade and investment relations for the benefit of the business roadshow.

The roadshow’s goal is to promote the Philippines as a prime investment destination for Spanish businesses, and featured presentations and discussions on the latest investment opportunities available in the country, and the reasons that Spanish companies should invest in the Philippines. The roadshow will also serve as a platform for Spanish and Filipino companies to explore business collaborations and partnerships. 

“I am confident that the Philippines’ young and energetic people, our incomparable location, our logistical position in Asia Pacific, the abundance of sustainable materials and natural resource, and the cultural affinity between Spanish and Filipino people, shall be an advantage for any Spanish company who wish to establish a foothold in the continent,” said Ambassador Lhuillier.   

The Embassy’s presentation highlighted the Philippines’s potential as a manufacturing, packaging, distribution and logistical hub, to access the Southeast Asian’s market of approximately 600 million consumers. 

The attendees congratulated the Philippine Team on the successful event, stating that they are confident that this roadshow “will build new bridges and potential partnerships between PH and Spanish businesses that will bring mutual benefits”. END
