PH Ambassador to Brunei Calls On Brunei Attorney General

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 25 April 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalaam Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio called on Brunei Attorney General Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa on 19 April 2023 at the Attorney General’s Chambers. 

They discussed the possible cooperation between BARMM’s Bangsamoro Attorney General’s Office (BAGO) and the Brunei Attorney General’s Chambers in terms of capability and skill upgrading related to BAGOs statutory mandates. 

During the meeting, Ambassador Tirol-Ignacio spoke on the creation of the Department of Migrant Workers and its representative office in the Embassy, the Migrant Workers Office, and the implications of this development on the delivery of assistance to overseas Filipinos in Brunei. 

After the productive discussion, Attorney General Ahmad Isa thanked Ambassador Tirol-Ignacio for her call and reiterated his openness to provide assistance in the creation of the judicial institutions of BARMM. END
