PH Embassy in Manama Collaborates with the Bahrain Specialist Hospital on Free Health Screening for Filipinos 40 and Above

MANAMA 02 May 2023 — The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, in cooperation with the Bahrain Specialist Hospitals and Clinics in Juffair, Manama, successfully organized a Multi-Specialty Medical Camp for members of the Filipino Community aged 40 years and above on 28 April 2023 which benefitted a total of 475 Filipinos.
The medical camp offered the following free health services: Primary Heart Screening (ECG), Gynecological Screening (Abdominal ultrasound), Vision Screening (Eye Pressure and Glaucoma Check-up), Diabetes Screening, Hypertension Screening, and Physical Examination.
During the medical camp, the Bahrain Specialist Hospital also launched its “Good Health Club” cards, which provide special packages, including consultation and various medical services, at discounted rates.
Philippine Ambassador-designate to Bahrain Anne Jalando-on Louis conveyed the Embassy’s gratitude to the management, panel of doctors, nurses, and staff of the BSH for working with the Embassy in providing free health screenings to the members of the Filipino community who are 40 years of age and above, for early detection and treatment of illnesses. The activity is part of the Embassy’s continuing program to promote the health and wellness of the Filipino community in Bahrain. END
