PH Ambassador Ante Presents Credentials to Timor-Leste President Ramos-Horta

DILI, 05 May 2022 – Philippine Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste Belinda M. Ante presented her letter of credence to Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta at the Presidential Palace in Dili, along with the letter of recall of her predecessor, Ambassador Abdulmaid K. Muin, on 03 May 2023.
The ceremony began with a traditional chant by the Military Guard of Honors at the grounds of the Presidential Palace and the signing of the visitors’ book. After the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Ante paid a courtesy call on President Ramos-Horta.
Following the courtesy call, the customary inspection of the Military Guard of Honors by Ambassador Ante and the final military salute took place at the grounds of the Presidential Palace to mark the end of the ceremony.
Ambassador Ante, a career Chief of Mission of the Department of Foreign Affairs, is the sixth Resident Philippine Ambassador to Timor-Leste and seventh Philippine Ambassador overall. END
