Business Delegation from Wallonia, Belgium to visit PH to explore investments and cooperation on agri-food, aerospace, green technology and vaccine research

BRUSSELS, 08 May 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Belgium Jaime Victor B. Ledda, together with other officials from the Philippine Embassy in Brussels, met with Wallonia Export and Investment Agency (AWEX) CEO Pascale Delcomminette and other agency officials on 28 April 2023.

Ms. Delcomminette disclosed that 10 companies and 16 individuals from Wallonia are currently slated to go on a business mission to the Philippines in the first week of June 2023.

Potential areas of collaboration between the Philippines and Wallonia include the agri-food industry, the Mobility Fund for academic research, aerospace, green technology, and vaccine research.

AWEX is tasked with attracting foreign investment to the Walloon region of Belgium and assisting companies based in the region in their export activities. It serves as a one-stop shop for foreign companies interested in locating in Wallonia.
