BRUSSELS, 12 May 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Belgium Jaime Victor B. Ledda, together with other officials from the Philippine Embassy in Brussels, met with Belgian infrastructure firm DEME Group CEO Luc Vandenbulcke and other company officials at the Group’s headquarters in Zwijndrecht, Belgium on 28 April 2023.

Mr. Vandenbulcke spoke on the firm’s specializations, which included port development, dredging and reclamation projects, off-shore wind farms, and deep-sea mining. The company also prioritizes sustainability as its number one consideration, as evidenced by its ships shifting to liquefied natural gas and devoting its efforts to green technology and off-shore wind projects.

DEME Group has recently reopened its office in Manila, which is proof that the company would like to build up its presence in the Philippines and participate in the bidding process of infrastructure projects in the country.

With more than 145 years of experience and about 5,000 skilled professionals, DEME Group is a world leader in dredging, land reclamation, marine infrastructure, offshore energy, and environmental remediation. END
