Sentro Rizal New York Donates Books to New York Public Library

NEW YORK 19 May 2023 — Philippine Consul General Senen Mangalile witnessed the turn-over by Nina Daza-Puyat of four copies of her children's book, "Ang Alamat ng Lumpiang Shanghai" to the New York Public Library (NYPL) on 12 May 2023.

The book, which is written both in English and Filipino, is a story about the mythical origins of the iconic Lumpiang Shanghai being served in any Filipino gathering and now slowly gaining mainstream acceptance.

NYPL, after an evaluation of the merits and relevance of the book, agreed to making it part of its list of new acquisitions.

Sentro New York aims to distribute more Philippine reference materials to various libraries in the East Coast to promote the Philippines. END
