PH Ambassador to Jordan, Mutah University Officials Discuss Cooperation Activities

AMMAN 22 May 2023 — Philippine Ambassador to Jordan Wilfredo C. Santos, met with the officials of Mutah University in the Karak Governorate on 10 May 2023, a first of its kind to have been held in the educational institution. Ambassador Santos was received by Mutah University President, Prof. Arafat Awajan, and Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Raed Aladaileh.

The meeting served as a springboard for a closer partnership between the Philippine Embassy and Mutah University as both sides discussed possible collaborative efforts and exchanges between the University and educational institutions in the Philippines. The officials also delved into the welfare of the over 500 Filipino students currently enrolled in the University, and explored ways to address the issues concerning them. Ambassador Santos expressed his gratitude as well to Mutah University for their excellent treatment of the Filipino students.

The University officials conveyed their willingness to partner with the Embassy for a semestral outreach and other activities for Filipino students in the future. END
