PH Ambassador Calls for Renewables Investment in PH at 25th IRENA Council Meeting in Abu Dhabi

Amb. Ver cited efforts of the Philippine Government to push for investments in renewable energy (RE) projects in the country, including allowing 100% foreign ownership, and provision of incentives. Likewise, Amb. Ver spoke with like-minded countries at the meeting to explore cooperation among countries such as the Philippines, the world’s 2nd largest producer of nickel (an important component of batteries that form an integral part of the renewable energy infrastructure), towards moving up the critical materials value chain.
