PH Consulate General in Jeddah Welcomes 33 Filipino Evacuees from Port Sudan

JEDDAH 22 June 2023 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (Jeddah PCG) welcomed another batch of 33 Filipino evacuees from Port Sudan who arrived in Jeddah, KSA, on 20 June 2023 through King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) - Hajj Terminal.  The group included former Labor Attaché Adam Mussa, a staff from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and three minor children.

The said evacuees were welcomed by Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah’s Evacuation Team headed by Consul Lemuel C. Lopez. They were also provided with consular assistance such as issuance of travel documents, exit visas, and psychosocial counselling, among others.

The evacuees, including former Labor Attaché Musa and the DMW staff, departed from Jeddah on 20 June 2023, and arrived in Manila on 21 June 2023 onboard Malaysian Airlines Flight No. MH 806. END
