PH Ambassador to Austria Presents Credentials to Croatian President

VIENNA 05 July 2023 - Philippine Ambassador to Austria Evangelina Lourdes A. Bernas presented her credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to President Zoran Milanović of the Republic of Croatia at the Presidential Palace in Zagreb on 27 June 2023.
During the brief ceremony, Ambassador Bernas conveyed the warm felicitations of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and her firm commitment to further strengthen Philippines-Croatia relations.
In the succeeding meeting with Presidential Adviser for Foreign and European Policy Neven Pelicarić, Director General for Political Affairs Petar Mihatov of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA), and the Secretary of the Cabinet for Economy, Energy, and Climate Helena Kasanić of the Office of the President, Ambassador Bernas noted the growing number of Filipinos living and working in Croatia and committed to further deepen cooperation in labor, maritime, and defense areas, as well as other areas of bilateral relations.
The Philippines and Croatia celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year, and the Philippine embassy will host a food fest in Croatia towards the latter part of the third quarter to commemorate this milestone. END
