LeDanz Dance Group Performs at 14th Anapale World Festival 2023 in Athens

ATHENS 07 August 2023 - The Philippines’ LeDanz Dance Group from Dasmariñas, Cavite performed at the Dora Stratou Theater in the neighborhood of the Acropolis in Athens for the opening of the 14th Anapale World Festival 2023, an annual dance festival endorsed by the International Dance Council CID, which features all forms of dance and open to companies, duos or solos.
LeDanz Dance Studio performed “Kanta Pilipinas,” which emphasized Filipinos’ resilience over life’s adversities and an answer to the call to rise from any challenge in life. Combined with modern dance, the performance featured highlights from popular Philippine traditional dances such as singkil, pandango sa ilaw and maglalatik. LeDanz captivated the audience’s imagination for which they heartily expressed appreciation of the performance. Other dance groups participating in the festival are from Albania, Greece, India, Italy, United Kingdom and Malaysia.
The Philippine Embassy, led by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Ms. Judy Barbara Robianes, congratulated the participating delegates as they received their International Certification of Dance Studies conferred by Prof. Alkis Raftis, President of the International Dance Council CID. The International Dance Council CID is an official partner of UNESCO and the issued International Certification of Dance Studies is recognized by member countries across the globe. END
