PH Ambassador Presents Credentials to the Argentine President
BUENOS AIRES 07 August 2023 — Philippine Ambassador to the Argentine Republic Grace T. Cruz-Fabella presented her credentials to Argentine President Alberto Fernandez at the Casa de Gobierno in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 01 August 2023. A total of 25 resident and non-resident Ambassadors presented their credentials.
Addressing the Ambassadors, President Fernandez gave a brief speech, saying, “As you well know, Argentina has been nurturing its ties with all countries in the world in its recent history. We are staunch supporters of multilateralism - that’s what we practice and that’s what we like to see among all of us. You’re all welcome as representatives of governments and of sister nations.”
During her presentation, Ambassador Cruz-Fabella expressed appreciation to the President for his welcome and mentioned the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Argentina.
A floral offering ceremony was held at the monument of Argentine national hero José de San Martin following the presentation at the Casa de Gobierno. Ambassador Cruz-Fabella was accompanied by Embassy personnel at this event.
The Philippines and Argentina established diplomatic relations on 27 August 1948 and will celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations this year. END
