NEW DELHI 11 August 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in New Delhi is proud to support the Philippine Tourism Roadshow in India, which ran from 07 to 11 August 2023. The event aims to promote Philippine tourism and showcase the country's stunning attractions and rich cultural heritage to the Indian market under the country’s newest tourism campaign, “Love the Philippines.”

The Philippine Tourism Roadshow is a joint initiative of the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), Buzz Travel Marketing, and various travel agencies and tour operators from the Philippines and India. It aims to create awareness among travel agents and tourism industry stakeholders by providing an immersive experience of the Philippine culture, cuisine, and natural wonders.

The roadshow, which has stops in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai, features a series of presentations, product showcases, and fun games, highlighting the unique beauty and charm of different tourist destinations in the Philippines. It also aims to foster networking and business partnerships between Philippine and Indian travel companies.

The “Love the Philippines” campaign, which is the centerpiece of the roadshow, aims to promote the country's sustainable tourism practices and encourage Indian travelers to discover the unexplored gems of the Philippines. From the alluring beaches of Boracay to the fantastic dive destinations of Bohol and Palawan, the campaign invites travelers to experience the warmth and hospitality of the Filipino people and create unforgettable memories in the country.

"The Philippine Embassy in India is proud to support the Philippine Tourism Roadshow and the Love the Philippines campaign. We believe that our country has so much to offer, and we are delighted to showcase our unique attractions and culture to the Indian market," said Third Secretary and Vice Consul Mark Anthony G. Articulo, who graced the New Delhi leg of the Roadshow on behalf of the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi.

He also emphasized the importance of the Indian market for Philippine tourism, noting that India has become one of the fastest-growing outbound travel markets in the world. "India is a significant market for us, and we are confident that the Love the Philippines campaign will inspire more Indian travelers to include the Philippines in their travel plans," he added.

The Philippine Embassy is committed to promoting Philippine tourism and strengthening the tourism ties between the Philippines and India by providing efficient visa processing for Indian tourists. The Embassy notes the implementation of the electronic visa system for Indian tourists towards the end of this year or early next year, which will make it easier for them to obtain the required visa to enter the Philippines.
