PH Embassy in Manama Repatriates Filipino Father and Daughter

MANAMA 16 AUGUST 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, facilitated the repatriation to the PHL of Mr. Galvez and his minor daughter, via Gulf Air flight no. GF 154 on Sunday, 13 August 2023. 

Mr. Galvez and his daughter were accommodated at Bahrain’s Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Expat Protection Center while the required documents for their repatriation were  being processed.

The Embassy’s OWWA office, led by Welfare Officer Redina Manlapaz, shouldered the costs of the airfare and immigration penalties of Mr. Galvez and his daughter, and also coordinated with the OWWA-Repatriation Assistance Division (RAD) for their transportation to their hometown, San Fernando City, La Union.

Several Filipino community organizations in Bahrain extended financial assistance to Mr. Galvez and his daughter.

The Embassy acknowledges and thanks the LMRA for providing shelter and extending other assistance to Mr. Galvez and his daughter while they were waiting for their repatriation to the Philippines. END
