24 June 2014- Well-known Filipino artist Manuel D. Baldemor  donated one of his paintings to cultural center Ollin Yolitzi in Mexico where he had an exhibition of  more than a hundred  of his art works.  His exhibition entitled  “La Sincronía Filipino-Mexicana” (Philippine and Mexican Synchronicity)  was part of the Philippine Embassy’s celebration of the 116th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence.

 

Gallery director Ricardo Fuentes Gómez, M.D. and Department Head Francisco J. Becerra Maza received the donation.  They awarded a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Baldemor.  They likewise expressed the hope that his exhibit and donation would be a start of a deeper working relationship.

 

 

The cultural center officials chose the painting “Barrio Musicians” its vivid depiction of the colors and tradition common to the Philippines and Mexico. END
